“listen” honors the the hundreds of marginalized girls that disappear each year in the United States and globally whose loss is not considered a priority. Their unresolved disappearance is “a wound that doesn’t heal” as their mothers and fathers, their families, and their communities mourn their loss with no closure. This piece is a call to action to listen to their stories and advocate for their safety.
